We are at the end of peach season and as bittersweet as that is, I already have pears that look like they are on steroids.
I still have the large drawer in one fridge filled with peaches, two drawers in the other fridge, and three large bowls overflowing with peachy goodness. Oh, and I do have a few extra large freezer bags of them cut up in each freezer; waiting to be made in to peach preserves.
I am already imagining how many pears I will have to figure out what to do with since we have 2 trees that are full of fruit. I guess I could have worse things to worry about, but I do not want any of it to go uneaten or spoil!
Today I have one of my favorite students coming to the house to pick the remainder of the peaches. Hopefully the storm last night did not knock too many of them to the ground and she will be able to get most off the actual tree.
I am sad to see the peach season end, but I now have pears to look forward to....then apples!
