Unfortunately the original location turned out to be unsuitable due to the large piles of dog poop concealed by the fall leaves. Jovie and Douglas decided that they wanted their guests the leave their wedding without poop covered feet and thus moved their ceremony to the sidewalk of the Clem Compound.
Even with all of the preparation the ceremony did not go off without a hitch, the bridesmaids could not focus, the bride had a small case of cold feet, and the Baby Goat Squad distracted the groom. Finally, with some coaxing the vows were recited and Douglas and Jovie were pronounced husband and wife.
Miss Lily Clem planned the simple affair making sure that the brides wishes were fulfilled and every detail perfect. She made sure that the guest list included only the most intimate friends of the couple, Brian, Kim, Johnny, and Mickayla came as a family, Michelle and Michael made the long drive from Wisconsin, and the Clem Family was of course there to support the newlyweds.
Jovie wanted a dinner that reflected her love for favorite movie Lady and the Tramp so Lily arranged for a spaghetti and meatball dinner with a seemlingly endless supply of garlic bread. The evening ended with a four layer cake, white cake with strawberry filling, white cake with raspberry filling, cheesecake, and chocolate cake.
Please watch the couples wedding video and peruse the photos taken of the event, it really was a special day.
