(That is my Ellie Girl laying in the field. I love that girl.)
I told my first period, Senior English class the other day that I loved my job. I told them that I like coming to work every day and that they are a big part of the reason why I treasure what I do. They all kind of looked at me like I had lost my mind a little bit, but I am truly grateful for each of my students. They make me laugh and I make them laugh, they comfort me and I comfort them, I listen to them and in return they listen to me, and I cannot put a value on the relationships that I have with my students. I am lucky to have them.
Each person who has been a friend to me, regardless if we were "best" friends or something else, you have made me the person I am and continue to shape me into a better person. I am comforted by your comments, whether it be in person, on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram and I hold them close to my heart. Sometimes the people we may not be the closest to, the people we have never met, make the strongest impact. Sometimes my heart needs to hear kind words from people I have never and will never meet in order to heal. I am thankful for each of you.
I love my life.
I love my husband.
I love my children.
I love my parents, my siblings, my extended family, and all the family I gained when I married my husband.
I love my animals.
I. Love. My. Life.
I am thankful.
