So, my overactive brain had an idea....an epiphany. Why not refill this expensive bit of convenience?! Looking at the container I initially thought that I would be able to accomplish this using the hole where the soap is dispensed. Looking more closely it was obvious that I would destroy the seal and I would have an automatic dispenser that would be constantly dispensing soap. I already have to deal with a 4 and almost 3 year old playing in the soap, I certainly did not need more of a mess.
I turned the container over and thought to myself, "What if I drilled a hole in the top and funneled less expensive refill soap in?" Brilliant! I broke out the drill, which conveniently I had just used, and drilled a nice hole in the top. The total diameter is about 1/4 - 1/2" just depending on the size of your funnel.
Below are photos of the entire process, it is incredibly simple and money saver as well as a great way to recycle and have less waste.
